Nurses Network by Quality Home Health Care has a current need for a Medical Records Associate. The successful candidate will be ambitious, dependable, a self-starting problem-solver, detail-oriented, and will possess a strong work ethic and high-level communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follows dedicated processes for obtaining, tracking, receiving, and uploading signed physician/provider orders into patient's electronic medical records.
- Responds to medical record requests including interaction with the clinical departments for review and approvals.
- Responsible for timely uploading of patient information with attention to corresponding task detail.
- Daily faxing, phone interactions, and communications with referral sources including hospitals, post-acute facilities, and physician/provider practices.
- Trains and supervises medical records personnel in the daily operations of the medical records department.
- Responsible for effective communication internally between office departments including billing, clinical managers, and administration to ensure timely operations.
Essential Functions:
- Assignments are made in terms of broad goals and objectives and the employee must apply considerable decision making and independent judgment in daily activities.
Qualifications:
- This position requires at least 1 year of medical record experience, preferably in a home health setting.
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Efficient utilization of electronic medical records and excel spreadsheets.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Ability to multitask.
Educational Requirements:
- This position requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
Compensation: Hourly position, pay DOE $17-$19 per hour.
